WOW24 Dictionary Import for NASPA or Collins Zyzzyva

A WOW24 (WGPO Official Words 2024) word list with definitions, formatted for import into NASPA or Collins Zyzzyva (File → Import Words…). Includes all 195,383 entries with definitions drawn from Petree-OWL2.1, Wiktionary, and human editorial review.

📱 Mobile Zyzzyva Users

To install the WOW24 dictionary on Mobile Zyzzyva:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Under Lexicon, tap Add Custom Lexicon
  3. Lexicon Name: Leave Blank
  4. File URL: https://pdxscrabble.org/wow24.txt — NOTE: the https:// is needed!
  5. Press Download

🖥 Desktop Zyzzyva Import Instructions

âš  WARNING: Desktop Zyzzyva does not accept web site addresses for Lexicons. Do not type them in, as there is a bug that corrupts the Zyzzyva preferences.
  1. Click the WOW24-Zyzzyva-Import.zip link in the Download section below to save the file to your computer.
  2. Double-click WOW24-Zyzzyva-Import.zip to decompress it.
  3. Open NASPA or Collins Zyzzyva (Version 3.4.1 or later recommended).
  4. Choose Zyzzyva → Preferences…
  5. Under General, click the Edit button.
  6. Select the file WOW24-Zyzzyva-Import.txt.
  7. Zyzzyva will import all 195,383 entries with their definitions.
  8. At the bottom, under the Custom lexicon, click Load and browse to WOW24-Zyzzyva-Import.txt.
  9. Click OK, then click OK again.
  10. Click the magnifying glass (search field) and in the drop-down choose Custom.
  11. Search for AA (it may take two searches for definitions to fully load).
  12. You should see the AA definition ending with “WOW24 Unified” and a version number.
  13. Select Tools → Rebuild Database → Rebuild Database for a Single Lexicon → Custom.

File Description
WOW24-Zyzzyva-Import.zip ZIP archive containing the Zyzzyva import file, README, and Attributions. Extract and use File → Import Words… in Zyzzyva to install.
